About the Golden Retriever Breed

Golden Retrievers make excellent house dogs. They are easy to train, eager to please, and easy-going. These traits help make the Golden Retrievers readily adaptable to most indoor living conditions. Golden Retrievers are active and love the outdoors, but can be equally content inside.

As a house dog, the Golden Retriever does not need much space and gets along well with children and other pets.

Golden Retrievers are average-maintenance dogs with the biggest upkeep being their shedding. Some people believe they are high-maintenance dogs because of their shedding, but that is not the case, weekly brushing is the only thing required to keep the shedding to a minimum.

The Golden Retrievers size is well suited to children. They are friendly, gentle, and get along great with kids. Making them good companions and well-suited playmates for all ages. The Golden Retriever's size, energy, and temperament match perfectly.

At Daisy's Goldendoodles and Golden Retrievers, we have been raising Golden Retrievers for 33 years. We work to produce the best Golden Retrievers that reflect the desired qualities any owner would want in a dog. We breed first for good health and second for that sweet, loving temperament.
